We are delighted that selected children from Year 5 will be taking part in an exciting project called Lights Camera, Score, In partnership with Tower Hamlets Arts and Music Service (THAMES), Into Film and Sir John Cass’s Foundation.

Lights, Camera, Score is a project that explores storytelling through media using film and music, facilitated by Three Stones Media. Our children will be composing and playing the musical score for a film created by year 12 children from Sir John Cass School.

The culmination of the programme will also see a film festival on 29 June 2020, celebrating everyone’s hard work, with screenings of all of the films produced by the schools, on our big screens with Q&As and a special guest.

Our children took turns to play their instruments at the front and also played altogether as an orchestra. It will be an ongoing project with the professional musicians facilitating coming into our school for rehearsals. Our orchestra consists of – 4 x violins, 4 x cellos, 2 x flutes, 2 x clarinets, 2 x trombones and 2 x trumpets and the children were selected by our musical instrument tutors. Well done to everyone involved, it looks like a very exciting project and we are delighted to be involved. Thankyou to Thames, Three Stones Media, Sir John Cass’s Foundation, Derwent London and Miss Sellen’s for making it happen!
