Hokusai Class learnt about how Henry Moore made his art, after looking at his sculpture Draped Seated Woman (otherwise known as Old Flo). Old Flo is located very close to Lansbury Lawrence, in Canary Wharf. Last year, our Arts Council made a film all about Old Flo:

Henry Moore made small maquettes before he made his big sculptures, and year 3 made their own maquettes inspired by how he worked. They used wood, paper, tape and mod-roc plaster to make these beautiful small models.

Canary Wharf ran a competition for schools to enter, based on learning more about Henry Moore and Old Flo. We are very pleased to announce that Fabiha and Aisha were runners up, with their sculpture titled, ‘Flexing Dog’. You can see their sculpture on display in the Community Gallery at Canary Wharf for the next two months.
