Today Goldsworthy class went on a trip to Chrisp Street Market – our first ever school trip. Our aim was to investigate the market using everything we had learned about our 5 senses – sight, smell, hearing, touch and taste.
We saw lots of different things, including clothes and shoe shops, the butchers, the bakery and the library. Lots of us had been to these places before. We even looked inside the opticians where Safiyyah gets her glasses!
We finished our trip by choosing some exotic fruit from the market stall. Ms Dickman had £8 to spend. Luckily it cost us £7 so we worked out we had £1 left over.
Back at school we enjoyed eating our very juicy and sweet pineapple, some lovely melon and, our favourite, strawberries. We drew pictures of the market and wrote sentences about what we did. All the adults were very impressed with how well we listened, walked and enjoyed our first trip out.
