Remember, Remember the 5th of November, for phonics we have been listening to the different sounds of fireworks and seeing if we can use our voices and bodies to make similar sounds like fireworks. We can also describe what the fireworks look like we spoke about how they look- we said the are colourful like the rainbow, they are shiney and shimmery, they are big and in the sky at night time. We then used paint to stamp some fireworks onto black paper and then sprinkled some glitter on top.
We made some rangoli patterns using salt dough, pasta and lentils. We spoke about the different shapes and counted out all the different materials that we used. The children really enjoyed watching videos about how Diwali is celebrated and enjoyed rolling and making salt dough rangoli patterns.
