It’s International Women’s Day! In Year 5 we started the day thinking about women who have inspired us. Some of us spoke about famous women who have inspired through their work or actions, some thought a bit closer to home and stalked about their Mums or sisters who help them everyday.
The theme of this year’s International Women’s Day is ‘Beat the Bias’ and we thought of ways in which we still see biases against women and girls here and around the world. We all agreed that more needed to be done to make gender equality a reality.
