This term, Carle Class have been learning all about growing—and not just how we grow, but how plants grow too! It’s been a lovely way for our little ones to explore the world around them and get hands-on with nature. Last week, we took a trip to our garden to see what’s already growing. The children were excited to discover spring onions, beans, leaves, and some beautiful flowers!
This week, Carle Class became gardeners themselves! Each child had the chance to plant their own cress seeds. Before planting, we explored what the seeds looked and felt like using our senses—lots of curious fingers and wide eyes! Then came the watering, using a spray bottle, learning that just like us, plants need water and sunshine to grow strong and tall. Now all that is left to do is wait for it to sprout!
