For Christmas, Carle class have been doing an array of activities to feel the Christmas cheer! Together, we decorated a Christmas tree for our classroom, hanging ornaments and tinsels. We also made decorations like baubles, sticking different coloured cellophane and sequins to give it a stained glass affect. This had made our classroom look and feel very festive! Carle Class also watched videos on how Christmas is celebrated and the different kind of decorations used. We saw Christmas wreaths and made our own using paint, cotton wool and earbuds to stamp a pattern. We also made Christmas cards for our family members, but it was not just any normal card, but one with a 3D snowman! We made paper chains for the snowman’s body and stuck it on the card, and drew faces using the colours black and orange.
To add to the Christmas spirit, Carle Class also enjoyed a lovely Christmas lunch with Christmas crackers! And to end the term on a special note, Carle class have been preparing for their Christmas show! We are singing twinkle twinkle little star, twinkle twinkle chocolate bar, five little snowmen and we wish you a merry Christmas with Makaton signing! We will be singing to our family members/carers and then partaking in many fun activities with them.
And finally we had our spectacular Christmas show! We sang our song and used some actions then we finished with some Christmas crafts with our grown ups!
