On Tuesday, we had the school council’s charity fundraiser event, and it was F.U.N!
We had fun games to play like the chimney toss and splat the rat, we had ‘crafts on the grass’ where lots of children made their own bookmarks and decorated autumn leaves to be hung in the window, we had some lovely cakes made by our school council families to sell (Thank you!) and even some cakes the children got to decorate themselves. We hosted the Parent vs Teacher football match; well done to the parent team for securing a humble 5-0 victory! And of course, we had Soak the Teacher. Defintely my highlight, thank you Anthony!
All of this fun was in aid of raising money for a local Tower Hamlets charity the school council had researched and found themselves; The Whitechapel Mission. The council liked how the charity supported homeless people in our local area by offering food, clothing, showers and support getting back into work. We will announce the total amount raised next week, as we have to combine it with the money already raised by Geoff, our school governor, who ran a sponsored 10k race.
We also held a raffle to win some top prizes! This proved very popular and lots of our families bought tickets. Some of the prizes were claimed, however we still have three prizes left unclaimed; including the biggest prize of all, the laptop computer!! Check your tickets eveyone ! We’re looking for pink tickets 350, 612 and 872!
