Van Gogh class had an amazing start to Year 4! This half term our learning has been all about our local community in particular looking at the history of The Tower of London.
This is what the children had to say about their favourite learning moment from this half term.
In Science it was all about electricity. We learned what items in our homes needed to be plugged in to a mains and what used batteries. After that we made electric circuits, added switches and tested materials to see if the conducted or insulated electricity.
Van Gogh have had the pleasure of working with a group of architects on a weekly basis on a design project linked to Chrisp Street Market. The children had to draw their favourite places in London before they had to think about how they would like to improve Chrisp Street Market. Then they had a go at making 3-D models of the different types of building they would like to see on Chrisp Street Market. Can’t wait to see what their final model will look like after the half term break.
