Yesterday afternoon, our Year 5 children took to the stage for a wonderful celebration of music, marking the culmination of months of hard work, practice and joyful learning. Every Wednesday, specialist tutors joined us to teach a range of instruments and the concert was the perfect showcase of just how far the children have come.
Over the year, the children have been developing their skills on saxophones, clarinets, guitars, violins and cellos, guided by our fantastic team of visiting tutors. Sean has been inspiring our woodwind players on clarinet and saxophone, Sam has been nurturing confident guitarists, Daniel has been leading our violinists with patience and enthusiasm, and Marionna has been bringing out beautiful tone and technique in our young cellists. Their dedication has made a huge impact, and we are incredibly grateful for the passion they bring each week.
The concert itself was a joy to watch. The hall was filled with pride; not just from the children, but from the families who came to cheer them on. We were thrilled to see such an amazing turnout from parents and carers, whose support means so much to the children and to us as a school.

A special highlight was the closing performance, where families joined in to make music together. Seeing parents, carers and children sharing the stage created a truly heart warming moment and reminded us how powerful music can be in bringing people together.
Thank you once again to everyone who attended, encouraged, applauded and participated. And of course, a huge well done to Year 5: your hard work, courage and musicality shone brightly. Thank you to Mr Norman for organising the event!
