Today was national Takeover Day, an annual event organised through Kids in Museums. All of Year 4 went to The Whitechapel Gallery to celebrate the work made by Riley Class with artist, Monica Rivas Velasquez. It was amazing for Riley Class to see their work presented in the auditorium in front of a packed audience, and they were very confident speaking about their work using a microphone. They even had a question and answer session at the end!

After the screening, Riley Class took Van Gogh Class around the William Kentridge exhibition, before showing them how to make animations. Both classes worked together to make further animations, meaning 60 children were working as artists at The Whitechapel Gallery today! It was a fantastic experience for all involved.
