Y5 had a great time at the London Docklands Museum on Friday. Their learning theme this term is all about the Docklands and its historical significance. They have been learning about the British Empire, the trade that happened between Britain and it’s colonies, the building of the docks, the role of the East India Company and so much more. It was nice to see them explore the museum and learn new facts. Did you know that parts of the Docklands got bombed in ww2? The y5’s experienced sitting inside a bomb shelter and a bomb bunker. Here are some photos. Please ask your children to tell you more about their trip to the Docklands Museum.
