We can hardly believe it… two weeks of this term have already flown by! Time really does go quickly when you’re learning, exploring, and having fun. Our Year 3 children have settled back beautifully, and it’s been wonderful to see how much they’ve grown both in confidence and maturity. They are becoming articulate, thoughtful learners and we are very proud of them.
English: Stepping Into New Worlds

This term we are diving into the beautiful book Our Tower. The children have been fully immersed in the story and are now getting ready to innovate their own versions. To spark their imagination, we took our learning outside into the secret garden and forest area. The fresh air, natural surroundings and sense of adventure gave everyone a burst of creativity-what better way to learn?
The book Our Tower is all about changing how you see the world around you. We have enjoyed exploring ideas like this in our P4C lessons and you can too. Join in at home by considering the question:
If you changed your views and opinions, would you still be you?
Be thoughtful, be curious and share what you think at p4c@lansburylawrence.org
Maths: Mastering Multiplication
In Maths, we are continuing our journey into multiplication. The children have shown fantastic resilience and enthusiasm. Keep encouraging them to practise at home- little and often makes such a big difference!
Science: How Do Human Bodies Work So Effectively?

This term’s topic has transformed our learners into eager scientists! Over the next few weeks, they’ll explore the wonders of the human body: skeletons, bones, muscles and more. The children have taken home a Knowledge Organiser, which is a brilliant way for families to talk about learning at home. Feel free to explore it together and you never know your child may even be able to teach you something new!

Geography: Exploring Our World
In Geography this term, we’re discovering the equator, hemispheres, climate zones, biomes, and how our world is wonderfully connected. The children have already been asking fantastic questions and making thoughtful links.

Please remember, we are always here if you have any questions about your child’s learning. Your support makes such a meaningful difference and we appreciate the strong partnership we share with our families.
Here’s to another exciting, inspiring and curiosity‑filled term in Year 3.
As we conclude the week, an inspired thought for the week comes to mind:
“The more we explore, the more we discover- not just about the world, but about ourselves.”
Have a lovely weekend!
