Wow! What an incredible first two weeks we’ve had in Year 3! Time really does fly when you’re having fun. It’s been so lovely to see everyone settling in, making new friends, and showing kindness to one another.

In our first week, we worked together to create our class contract, thinking carefully about how we want to learn and treat each other this year. We also reminded ourselves of the Lansbury Lawrence school rules, so we can all feel happy, safe and ready to learn.

But that’s not all- we’ve already been diving into our learning!
This term, our big topic is “Our Community”, and we’ve started thinking about the special people and places around us that make our community so amazing.

In English, we’ve been reading a beautiful story called The Crow’s Tale. We’ve been using acting and dancing to explore how the characters feel, and it’s really helped us step into their shoes. It’s been so much fun bringing the story to life through movement and expression!

In Maths, we’ve been learning all about place value – understanding the value of each digit in a number. We’ve used lots of hands-on activities and games to help us become confident with numbers.

We can’t wait to see what the rest of the term brings – if the first two weeks are anything to go by, it’s going to be a brilliant year full of learning, creativity, and fun!

Please see the pictures and videos below to catch a glimpse of all the amazing things we’ve been up to!

Well done, Year 3- we are so proud of you. Keep up the great work!
