Hepworth Class found out that Anglo-Saxons made their clothes by weaving and so we travelled back in time to the Anglo-Saxon period to have a go ourselves!

First, we made a loom out of card by cutting notches in each side of a rectangle.

Then, we wrapped thick wool round and round until we had several straight lines in the middle.

After that, we had to thread through different coloured wool over and under, over and under the rows. It was quite tricky at first, but we soon got the hang of it!

Woven cloth fit for a Saxon Carl!
