Our topic this week has been All about me. We have been looking at self portraits by famous artists such as Frida Kahlo, Vincent Van Gogh and Picasso, who have inspired us to make our very own self portraits. The children have used a range of media to create their self portraits, we have used paint, charcoal, pastels, pencils, felt tips and cotton buds. Each child has taken lots of care in studying their features and putting them on to paper. In continuous provision we have continued making self portraits with playdough and cutting and sticking lots of different resources to create faces. We have had so much fan creating our self portraits!
