This half term, Year 5 created a collaborative artwork inspired by architecture.

We began by exploring local buildings and discussing the structures that have stayed in our memories over time. Using these ideas, we sketched our own architectural designs onto canvas.

Next, we added colour to our drawings and enhanced them with embroidered details. Using embroidery hoops helped keep the fabric taut while we carefully stitched our designs. Through this creative textile work, we developed our sewing skills and added texture to our artwork.

We are incredibly proud of the final collective piece and the effort that went into making it.
