Yesterday, Hepworth and Hokusai went on a trip to our local church. We walked to the church to see what was inside- it took about 20mins to get there. It was wonderful to visit a special place where many Christians worship. The church reminds me of Jesus and God. In class we have been learning about Christianity so it was really nice to see what was inside a church. It was so interesting to see the Bible, pews, organs (not human organs) and many more other fascinating things! I really enjoyed the Holy Communion. I felt peaceful inside the church because it was so quiet and calm. I would love to visit a mosque next time so that I could compare both places of worship!

Please enjoy the pictures my teacher took of us on the trip yesterday.

Hi everyone, yesterday Hepworth and Hokusai went on a trip to the Limehouse Church. First Hepworth made their way to the church and we looked at some sacred Bibles. We met a lady named Kate. She showed us some features of the church and discussed it with us. Next, she kindly let us look around the Christians holy place. She gave us a clip board with a piece of paper that had eight boxes. While we were there we looked at the Holy Communion, the pews and stained windows that had scenes of Jesus Christ on a Cross. The church reminded me of our RE lessons because in our lessons we looked at most of the stuff that we explored so it was nice to put our learning into reality! Although the church and the mosque are places of worship I felt different- the mosque has a prayer mat and in the church they sit on benches or there is a place to kneel.

On the way back from our trip we came across some ducks that were trying to make a nest but they found some plastic bags and started eating it. It reminded me of our P4C lesson about land and ocean pollution and how we can make our world a better place. After reflection, my class and I have decided that whenever we go out we will take a bag and gloves with us and collect any rubbish laying in our environment because this is our Earth and we need to look after it!
