We just found out that our new topic is the United Kingdom, and we explored our new display in class. We are looking forward to learning more about this topic because we have a lot of questions. I think it means we will do a lot of geography lessons.

Did you know that a new teacher joined us in class on Monday. Her name is Ms Masood, and she read us a story to say hello. We showed her the class contract so she could sign it to promise to be safe, respectful and committed too. We have Mr Daley and Ms Masood now, and they both taught us about the times tables in maths. We remember it is all about counting equal groups.

Our class plant, Blossom, is doing well because we are still taking good care of it. The class gardeners noticed the shoots are taller, but we don’t know if there will be any flowers yet or what colour they might be.

Today, we even had a special assembly. The guest was Leah Chowdhry who is a lady that swam all the way from England to France. She swam across the English Channel. She spoke to the whole school to tell us about how she did it and why she did it. It was very interesting, and she taught us the secret formula to be successful!
