Tagore Class had a fantastic visit to the Idea Store Library as part of their learning around the big question What is an author, and what makes a good story? The children were welcomed by a friendly guide who shared a lively story with them. The class listened beautifully, joined in with repeated phrases and enjoyed talking about the interesting vocabulary and what made the story fun to listen to.

After the story, children were set an exciting challenge. They were instructed to explore the library and find books from different genres, such as dinosaurs, planets and meteorites, fairy tales and stories about knights

The children really enjoyed sharing their favourite stories today, and it was lovely to see their excitement as they talked about the books they love. Please continue to encourage reading at home, as those small moments of daily reading make such a big difference to their confidence and imagination.
Don’t forget to join the Summer Reading Challenge that the Idea Store is running this summer. Please visit the library for more information.
