On Friday, Riley class took part in a challenge to see who could engineer the strongest bridge.

The mission was to make a bridge which could carry as many books as possible.

The length of the bridge was 20cm: armed with only a pile of paper and some masking tape, the children got into groups and set to work.

Have a look at all the exciting pictures below – the children worked well with their partners to create their bridge in less than 30 minutes.

Once we were ready to test, each group brought their bridge to the front of class and we recorded the results.
