Each day this week, the classroom buzzed as the children reunited with their friends after the summer break. They have come up from Year One ready to learn and eager to know what is in store for the year ahead, so we all thought we should share this quick message about our start.
As well as finding out our first topic, we’ve been counting to 100 and sharing what we already know about number lines, plus we used the front cover of our new story book to look for clues and predict what might happen to the colourful characters.
The children were excited to hear that their year will be full of interesting adventures and challenges. With growing independence and lots of curiosity, they will begin to explore new reading, writing and problem-solving.
