Year 5 classes have been learning about properties of materials and their changes. They had a whole day of Science in which they worked as mini scientists. They sorted and classified information, carried out a practical investigation to learn about dissolving and conducted a fair test about thermal insulation. They wrote up all their learning using photos and reflections into a double page spread. They collected data using timers and thermometers, completed charts and tables to record their information and summarised their learning using scientific vocabulary. What a wonderful day it was!
