The School Council have been working hard this half term planning an event for the first term back to help raise money for a very important charity in Tower Hamlets, The Whitechapel Mission!

Game Changers have supported us to come up with a plan to improve our local area. First we discussed what we would like to see change for the better in Tower Hamlets, we discussed pollution and littering, anti-social behaviour and homelessness and poverty. We voted that we would like to help people who are in need.

We researched for charities in the area that help with food banks or homelessness, that’s when we found The Whitechapel Mission. We thought the work they did was really important and we wanted to help them to do this.

We decided we wanted to create a fun day at school and raise money for the charity, we’ve been hard at work planning, researching and advertising. We have even convinced our School Governor, Geoff, to run a 10k race in support of ‘The Whitechapel Mission’. He did great, he completed it under an hour! Wow! Thanks Geoff!

In order to get you excited and looking forward to our fun-day fundraiser event we made an advert to persuade you to come and have fun and donate if you can! The fundraiser will be in October next half term, so the school councillors this year will be holding office for a little bit longer until our event is done and our target donation has been raised, then we will elect a new school council.

If we would like to join others and make an early donation, our fundraising page is already live! Click the link below…
