Spring has arrived in Reception, and the children have been busy exploring all the wonderful changes this season brings. We’ve been noticing new colours, new growth, and lots of signs that the world around us is waking up again.

The children enjoyed a lovely walk to the big School forest area, spotting buds, blossoms and new growth all around them.

Back in class, the children worked together to create a bright and beautiful collaborative spring collage, using colours and textures inspired by what they saw outdoors. We also planted our own sunflower seeds, talking about what plants need to grow and making predictions about how tall they might get. The children are already eager to check their pots each morning.

It’s been a joyful start to the season, full of curiosity, teamwork and growing things.
