Happy Learning, Happy Children!
What Are We Learning?
Our Early Years Curriculum at a Glance
At this stage of your child’s learning journey, play is powerful. That’s why our curriculum is designed around fun, discovery, and creativity. Every child learns best when they are happy, engaged, and encouraged to follow their natural curiosity.
We follow the EYFS Statutory Framework and use ‘Development Matters’ to guide our planning — giving children the very best start to school life.
Take a look at our EYFS Medium-Term Planning to see what’s coming up this year.
How We Learn
Every day is an adventure in Hamilton and Shireen Class!
Children learn through a mix of:
-
Teacher-led activities to introduce key skills
-
Child-initiated play where creativity and imagination take the lead
-
Outdoor learning, rain or shine!
We love exploring our outdoor classroom — building, investigating, running, digging, and connecting with nature. Our setting offers plenty of space and freedom for children to be active, curious, and confident learners.
Our Goals for Your Child
In Hamilton and Shireen Class, we nurture the attitudes and behaviours that help children become confident, curious, and resilient learners — not just in school, but for life.
These are the learning dispositions we focus on every day:
