Lansbury Lawrence are part of the Nrich Problem-Solving Schools initiative (Problem-Solving Schools | NRICH) which encourages children to apply different strategies to solve unfamiliar problems in maths. This half term, our strategy focus is Exploring and Noticing. Children have been developing their ‘maths eyes’ to look for patterns, make connections to prior learning, make predictions and use different manipulatives to represent the problems presented to them.

Problem-Solving lessons are for all children and provides excellent opportunities to develop oracy skills, collaboration and creativity. Here are a few of this half term’s highlights:
