This term, Kahlo Class have enjoyed learning all about our local area. We have explored lots to do with The London Docklands and Canary Wharf, which we can see from our classroom window!

In art, Ms Sellens taught us about perspective and we used in paper to mono-print images of Canary Wharf.

Fabiha’s artwork and reflection of learning about perspective
Shahinur printed the HSBC and Citi buildings using photos and ink paper
Aisha’s mono-printing

We also felt inspired to write poems about Canary Wharf. We wrote haikus, which are traditional Japense poems with 3 lines. The syllables in each line are counted 5, 7, 5.

Mysha was proud of her poem
Mohammed titled his poem “The spectacular city”
Some children also performed their poems to the class

Not forgetting our fantastic trip to the London Docklands Museum!

The River Thames and The Isle of Dogs

Smelling traded items. such as vanilla, coffee beans and cinnamon, at the museum!
