In our juicy DT project, we learnt how to chop and slice safely. We had to plan and then create a healthy dish, so it was important to choose our ingredients carefully. We even evaluated our project at the end by asking ourselves how well we did.

At the start of our week, we had a very exciting English lesson because we wrote the last chapter of our own story. And in maths, we did a recap of how to make ten and then add or subtract the rest when we are bridging. Using the strategy for subtraction was challenging, but we stayed resilient. We also looked at how to tell the time again: there are 24 hours in a day and 60 minutes in an hour. When you are telling the time, we know the minute-hand is the long hand and the hour-hand is the short hand.

Story time was also fantastic because we continued the next part of an amazing story called The Giraffe, and the Pelly, and Me. Listening to the story meant we could hear how an author writes a great story. Roald Dahl wrote the book, and we found out that he wrote 64 books all together.

In the middle of the week, we noticed that our class plant Blossom is still growing healthily. Its leaves are green, it is standing tall and it has flowers. We really enjoyed ending our week by making a delicious fruit salad. It was probably our most favourite part of the week.
