year 5 have been lucky to be working with Ms Boletti this half term in Forest School. They learned to make a fire using flint and steel rubbed together. They created sparks which were used on cotton wool topped with petroleum jelly. After much effort, they were successful in starting a fire! They also used a kelly kettle to heat up water used to make fruit tea. They sipped their tea in the school’s secret garden. The bright colours of the autumn leaves provided a beautiful setting for them to enjoy their teas around a warm, cosy fire set up my Ms Boletti!
