We were inspired today, to draw and paint with watercolours our impression of “The Castle and the sun” painted by Paul Klee.
First, we watched a powerpoint, and then Miss Glen modelled her ideas. It was important that, just like Paul Klee, we used the same shapes as him. These were circles, rectangles, squares and triangles.

Artists at work!
Here we are drawing and using watercolours to create our pictures.

Here are some finished creations…

What do we know? True or False?

We have also enjoyed using the topics and themes that come up in our lessons to have further discussions in P4C.
You can join in at home by considering this question:
Is a shape still a shape if we can’t see it?
