This week, the Year 2 children have been busy taking part in our Student Council elections! We were so proud to see so many children volunteer and put themselves forward for this important role.
The election process was full of excitement and enthusiasm. Each candidate prepared and delivered a speech, sharing why they would like to become a Student Councillor and how they could help make our school an even better place. It was wonderful to see the children speaking so confidently and sharing their ideas with their classmates.
After listening carefully to all of the speeches, the children cast their votes individually in a secret ballot. The votes were then counted and there was lots of anticipation as everyone waited to hear the results!
No matter the outcome, we are incredibly proud of every child who took part. It takes courage to stand up in front of others and share your ideas. Through this process, the children learned about democracy, responsibility and how every voice matters.
As we congratulate our newly elected Student Councillors, we also celebrate all of the children who showed confidence, resilience and a willingness to make a positive difference in our school community. We can’t wait to see the wonderful ideas and contributions they will bring throughout the year!
