We were so surprised on Monday because our class plant Blossom has grown so tall. Blossom is now showing its flowers, which are small and yellow. Every one or two days, it looks like more and more yellow flowers have grown. This is because our class gardeners are taking very good care of it – especially the first ones who planted the seeds.

DT Day was at the beginning of the week. We learned about the tall structures in Canary Wharf, then we made buildings of our own.

This week, we also asked the children in cooking club if they are enjoying it, and they said they liked making bread the most. This week they made yoghurt bread, and I didn’t know you could use yoghurt to make bread! They got to share the bread when they took it home.

In P4C we discussed a question: Does somebody have to have power in a community?

Inara: I think somebody has to have power because then they can help others to calm down when they are sad.

Amber: I am unsure because having power doesn’t mean you are kind and that person might make other people in the community feel hurt.

Amayah: If they use the power for themselves then that is selfish.

Sulayman: I think it depends on the situation.

Thursday was World Book Day. We had special activities that were all about reading and books. We actually did these all through the week, but most of them were on Thursday. We made characters with paper plates, read with Year Six and listened to an author read her book online. The illustrator joined the author to tell us how the book was created.

Thank you for reading. Bye!
