Lansbury Lawrence’s P4C ambassadors met with other enthusiastic children from nearby schools to form a circle of curious minds ready to explore big questions together at our, now annual, Philosothon event. Everybody’s voices bounced with ideas as students listened, challenged and built on each other’s thinking in a shared space of respect. For one moment, all the schools became one thoughtful community, and the children were united by wonder and dialogue.
Saim: We practised debating and discussed interesting questions. I liked it when we thought about different statements.
Uzeir: The day was so fun because we met other schools and we shared with each other. I will share what we did today by telling my brother.
Journie: We had the chance to listen to new people. We didn’t know them at first, but we shared our ideas and we were all talking very soon.
Saarah: I learnt how to listen even better than before, and today was like a combination of P4C and art together. After we created art with our new friends, we used it to have a big discussion with everyone. I’m going to tell my parents all about the event.
Abdul H: Today was like being a community because there was listening, thinking and sharing. It was like we were talking for our whole school.
