Year 1 set off on a bright, sunny (and very windy!) morning for our trip to Mudchute Farm. The excitement started the moment we boarded the DLR, with children spotting landmarks out the windows and chatting about which animals they hoped to see.

We arrived ready to explore, and the farm did not disappoint. As we wandered along the paths, we met all sorts of animals.

The goats were full of energy, jumping around and playing together, which made everyone laugh. We also saw sheep, cows and chickens.

After all that exploring, we found a sunny patch of grass for lunch. Once lunch was finished, the children ran around, played games and spent time looking at the flowers growing around the field.

Soon it was time to head back. We made our way to the DLR again, full of stories from the day. The journey back to school was filled with chatter about favourite animals and the moments everyone wanted to remember.

It was a wonderful day of fresh air, learning and adventure!
