Today, year 2 had a fun Geography lesson in which they used maps that they made of Poplar to navigate their way around their local community. It was like a mini trip around Poplar! They used directional language to walk to Chrisp St Market, the GP, the pharmacy, the Idea Store and Poplar fire-station. These are significant locations because they all involve people that help us which is our learning theme this term. The children commented that “this was the first time ever that I used a map, and I really enjoyed it”! We are very proud of their hard work and navigation skills they learned today. Well done year 2!
