During this half-term, Year 2 has been learning all about The Great Fire of London.
We read story books full of interesting information about how the fire started. Next, we discovered an ancient diary from Samuel Pepys and we learned how to write our own diary entry. Then, we made an exciting trip to St. Paul’s Cathedral where we learned even more.
After that, we learned how to design and build a Tudor house.
Today marked the end of our topic, and to mark this we re-created the Great Fire in our school! Making sure to be very safe – as we know fire is dangerous – we were able to watch as our Tudor houses burned to the ground, just like what happened in 1666.
