Half of year 5 went to Tate Modern today, to take part in an ‘Art School’ session with practising artists. We split in to two groups, and Kahlo class worked with Milda, who took us on a journey around the gallery. We looked closely at different art forms by different artists from all around the world.
We took notes about what we saw and heard, and looked at art in lots of different ways.
We even made our own art work, and performed it in the Turbine Hall. We put paper on top of a speaker, then pigment paint on top of the paper. Then we read out our notes using a microphone, and watched as the pigment moved around the paper to make art from our voices!
