The government award a grant to every school,  each year to support children’s participation in PE and sport.  The amount of funding we received this year was £9.657.00. This year we used the grant to part fund our membership of the Tower Hamlets Youth Sport Foundation which is based on pupil numbers and costs us 12.744.00. Membership of the Sports Foundation enables us to train teachers and support staff, run after school sports clubs, offering a variety of sports and led by professional sports coaches. We have at least two sessions of curriculum support each week, led by sports development coaches. We also take part in cluster and borough competitions and festivals in a range of sports.

For more information about our wide range of after school clubs of which many are supported by the grant, click here.

Children have grown in confidence and skill year by year. This is evident in the levels of participation and popularity of our clubs and competitions.
