This week the school council have been out and about in the local area planting bulbs for everyone to enjoy this summer! Children have been planting hyacinths in local Alton street park, and learning about the special smell hyacinths let out into the air to attract bees. They heard about the importance of bees for our survival and how we need to take care of our open spaces. The children worked with Syed from Open Parks, and were also given bulbs and the opportunity to plant their own flowers to take back to school, and be able to share their experience with their classmates!
