Hokusai class had a visitor from Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Paul Griffiths. Through our partnership with Wigmore Hall, Paul came to our classroom to help us write a hunters song! In English, we had been writing stories about a stone age boy named Kroll who has to go on his first mammoth hunt with his tribe. To find courage, Kroll remembers the hunter’s song his father used to sing to him. Hokusai wanted to not just imagine the power of the hunter’s song, they wanted to create it. They developed the lyrics and melody from scratch with the help of Paul and his guitar, and the result was epic! We are currently working on making stone age documentaries, and the song will feature as the main theme music. The documentaries will be COMING SOON TO A BLOG NEAR YOU!
