Well done to Siddiqur, who was a winner in the Fourth Plinth Schools Awards run by the Mayor of London. Siddiqur created The Scary Scaly Slithering Basilisk to go on top of the Fourth Plinth in Trafalger Square, and his design was chosen as the Borough winner from Tower Hamlets.
Today, Siddiqur and his dad attended a prize ceremony in City Hall. Siddiqur was very confident going on the stage in front of a packed audience, and receiving his prize from Justine Simons, the Deputy Mayor for Culture and the Creative Industries.
The prize was a big bag of art materials, so Siddiqur can continue to be creative and develop his art skills using professional materials at home.
