The Worshipful Company of Fan Makers, as the guild of fan makers, is a historic livery company which is still very active today. One of the main objectives of the Company is to develop education, and we are very proud of our close links with the Fan Makers at Lansbury Lawrence.

Victoria, from the Fan Museum in Greenwich, came in to school this week to work with Kahlo Class making fans. We made fans which could be used to celebrate the upcoming wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

We learned what the different parts of a fan are called; the leaf and the sticks. We also learned how to attach the leaf on to the sticks, which was a bit tricky but by the end of the session we were all doing a great job!
