On Monday, Year 2 were visited by drama students from the University of East London (UEL).

The creative students introduced Delaunay and Tagore class to life on board a pirate ship.

A hardworking pirate crew

HEAVE HO – Creating some pirate actions

The children formed new crews, and had to think of rules for their ships. Then they acted out their ship rules to everyone, and read out a very funny pirate joke. It was so much fun!

Planning our crew rules

Practising our crew rules

1st crew introduction – What do you call a pirate’s haircut?

2nd crew introduction – What did the pirate say when his wooden leg got stuck in ice?
3rd crew introduction – One shipmate has to walk the plank!

Thank you to the UEL students for providing such a fun workshop!
